Berserkistan presented Internet’s Medaille d'Or
Ken Lussey, on behalf of the award committee told Berserkistan that "we took a look at the Beserkistan Web site following a recent favourable review of it in a magazine and were very impressed by what we saw. So impressed, in fact, that we would like to invite you to accept the Medaille d'Or for Web Site Excellence."
Lussey says the Medaille d'Or is a new award program that "picks out the very best of what we come across while trawling the Web. Though UK-based, it is global in its outlook."
Berserkistan, the first major news service to publish exclusively on the Internet, has quickly grown to become the Internet's leading source of news for Bosnia and the Balkans. The service began publishing in January as NATO's IFOR troops began arriving in Bosnia to enforce the Dayton peace treaty. Bartlett has been covering the war in the Balkans since 1992.
Today, Berserkistan publishes more Bosnian news each day than all of the Internet's
major news services combined. It contains one of the largest Balkan
news links inventories and features original investigative reporting
on all aspects of the Bosnian War and the efforts to bring peace to
the region.
Internet honors have been awarded to Berserkistan by these sites and publications.
Logos are hotlinks to their reviews or web sites.
