Extradition of Hazim Delic, Esad Landzo

SARAJEVO, June 11 (Reuters) -- Bosnia's mainly-Muslim government will extradite two indicted war criminals to The Hague war crimes tribunal, a Sarajevo newspaper said on Tuesday. "The decision to extradite (Hazim) Delic and (Esad) Landzo was made by the Bosnian Supreme Court," Federal deputy justice minister Dzemal Husic told Sarajevo newspaper Dnevni Avaz.

"The two suspects have been held in a district jail in Sarajevo since April this year," Husic said. The Hague tribunal indicted Delic and Landzo for alleged war crimes committed in a concentration camp in southern Bosnia. No further details were imediately available. U.S. Ambasador Robert Frowick, in charge of Bosnia-wide elections, last week praised the Bosnian authorities as being the most cooperative side in regard to the Tribunal.

The tribunal, the first court to deal with war crimes since World War Two, has so far indicted 58 people -- including 46 Serbs, nine Croats and three Muslims.

Six are held at its detention centre at The Hague but the two most prominent suspects -- Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic and his army commander General Ratko Mladic are still at large.
